Green Cameroon Organizes Training Workshop on Pig Farming
Green Cameroon under its Community Pig Farm Project organized a training workshop on Pig Farm Management on Wednesday the 21st of May 2014. The workshop took place at the M&D Restaurant Hall, Station, Buea. Sponsored by the Australian Government the workshop was intended to equip some youths of the Mount Cameroon Forest Region and prospective beneficiaries of the Community Pig Farm Project, with basic skill they would need in managing their pig farms. The workshop was attended by some 15 youths from the Vasingli Community of Buea alongside the press and other resource persons. It was a great moment for exchange of ideas on pig farming and the trainees expressed satisfaction in the program. They also appreciated the work Green Cameroon is doing in communities and particularly to them as youths. They promised to put in practice all they had learnt and really where convinced that their lives can be bettered through pig farming as an income generating activity.
The Executive Director on Green Cameroon on his part promised the youths more support and constant follow up on this project. He assured them that the organization will be the with them on every step of the journey and wished them the best in all their endeavours hoping that they will take advantage of the project and training given to them to make a difference in their community. Workshop ended with a group photograph and interviews from the various press men.
